High quality of manufacture

The Borne+ 3.8 kW portable electric car charger is made of high quality materials designed to withstand all hostile environments. Its thermoplastic engineering plastic shell guarantees exceptional robustness against shocks and other severe conditions.

The charger is RoHs certified and has a UL94 V-0 flame retardant rating. It is mounted with rubber safety seals that protect the integrated circuit.

Its IP55-certified housing is resistant to water jets. However, be careful not to submerge it or expose it to heavy rain. The Mennekes socket types (Type 2) are also protected against splashing water via IP44 protection.

The equipment does not require any special precautions for use and is suitable for all situations. It can withstand a fall of 1m and a pressure of 2 tons. This electric vehicle charging equipment will continue to work even if you accidentally crush it with the wheels of a light car.

At the same time, the portable charger withstands extreme weather conditions via a greatly expanded temperature range of -22°F to 122°F (-30°C to 50°C). This versatile solution is suitable for both hot and cold regions.

During charging, the user can control several parameters from the multi-color LED combinations:

This color-coded system quickly detects anomalies in the power supply, the vehicle battery, the electrical terminal, and checks the charge level in real time:

The red led only means that the device is connected to the domestic socket
The red + green led means that the device is connected to the electric car, but is not charging. Check the locations of the plugs to ensure the connection.
The red + green + blue blinking LED indicates that the device is connected and charging the electric car
The red + green + blue led indicates a full charge (vehicle charged to 100%)
The red + green + yellow led indicates a communication failure. The connection must be checked.
The red + green + blue LED indicates the activation of the overload protection
The red + green + blue blinking + yellow led indicates a power supply problem (SCP). Check the recharging infrastructure and the power source (voltage, power) if it is adapted to the charger (240V AC 16A 50-60Hz).
The red + green flashing + blue flashing + yellow LED indicates that the leakage protection is activated
The red + yellow blinking led indicates the activation of the protection against overvoltage or low voltage
The red + green + blue + yellow LED indicates the activation of the overheating protection
